The LPN RN Bridge Program Manager is a professional nurse who is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement for the LPN-RN Bridge Program Manager. This role ensures the program supports Licensed Practical Nurses in successfully transitioning to Registered Nurses through high quality education provided by local community colleges. Additionally, this role ensures there is student support, compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards and collaboration with faculty, staff, and clinical partners. The Program Manager manages program operations, and fosters an environment that promotes student success, professional growth, and excellence in nursing education. The Program Manager plays a pivotal role in strengthening the nursing workforce, serving as role models and providing the leadership needed to implement evidence-based practice. |
Provides overall leadership and management of the LPN-RN Bridge Program, ensuring alignment with the mission, vision, and strategic goals of the institution. Advocate for the LPN-RN Bridge Program within Cone Health and the broader nursing and healthcare community Develop, implement, and evaluate program policies, procedures, and curriculum to meet accreditation, licensure, and regulatory requirements. Provides ongoing oversight, maintenance and security of student records in accordance with college established programs and procedures. Secures and maintains student service agreements. Prepare and submit reports, data and documentation required by accrediting and regulatory agencies. Monitor student performance, retention, and progression; implement strategies to support student success and completion Ensure program compliance with state boards of nursing, accrediting bodies and institutional policies. Facilitate ongoing program evaluation and quality improvement processes, incorporating feedback from students, faculty, and stakeholders. Serves as a liaison between students, faculty and Cone Health to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Assist in coordinating clinical sites within Cone Health. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity, equity, and belonging. Represent the program at professional meetings, advisory boards, and community events as needed. Assist in the completion of my Clinical Exchange for Cone Health students Provides oversight for the LPN RN Bridge program and students while collaborating with Sr leadership to evaluate the effectiveness, recommending and implementing enhancements. Collaborates with college faculty, educational partners, and Cone Health leadership. Attends key college events to support student success (ex. Graduation) Complies with college requirements and regulatory requirements for faculty as well as all requirements of Cone Health team members. Performs duties as needed including serving as Clinical Instructor as needed. |
EDUCATION: |
Required: Bachelors Degree in Nursing from a accredited post-secondary institution Preparation in teaching and learning principles, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, appropriate to assignment as required by the NC Board of Nursing |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: ? 3 years of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse ? Teaching and/or industry training experience in nursing topics in any of the following formats: teaching courses, training sessions, conducting professional development workshops, and/or other continuing education seminars Preferred: ? Greater than 3 years of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse ? Post-secondary teaching experience ? Experience with assessment of student learning and/or student learning outcomes. ? Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state. BLS/CPR: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider |
