Overview

Cardiographic Technologist Certified performs a range of cardiovascular diagnostic test including routine and stat Electrocardiograms (ECGs), nuclear stress tests, exercise stress tests, and stress echocardiograms. This role is responsible for accurately preparing and editing test results using MUSE for distribution. The position delivers exceptional customer service through prioritization of patient safety, preferences, and effective communication. The role partners with patients, families, colleagues, and external stakeholders to deliver accurate cardiac diagnostics, patient-centered care, and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities


Performs and reports results of ECGs promptly and accurately to ensure high-quality diagnostic information for timely patient care.
Conducts cardiovascular tests under supervision to provide valuable diagnostic insights for physicians' assessment and treatment planning.
Prepares and edits ECG and exercise ECG test results efficiently to facilitate timely distribution to relevant divisions and physicians for informed decision-making.
Manages ECG charge entry and reconciliation across the healthcare system to ensure accurate billing and financial processes.
Performs quality assurance measures to maintain the integrity and reliability of lab activities and procedures to contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
Operates and maintains testing equipment to ensure its proper functioning and safety for accurate diagnostic testing.
Maintains BLS and ACLS certification to ensure readiness to respond to emergency situations in the cardiac care setting.
If trained by staff education and demonstrates competency, performs IV insertion and maintains IV competency skills on an annual basis.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year, Healthcare - Allied Health

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); or Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) by American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
ACLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider within 6 months of hire
