Overview

The Project Manager (PM) leads and manages the development and implementation of projects. The PM conducts ongoing project management, facilitate weekly project meetings; serves as a consultant to partner with operational leaders navigating ITS project requests; coordinates project activities with the interfaces team; and, works closely with executive and operational sponsors of identified projects to ensure overall success. A strong understanding of project management methodology is essential.

The Project Manager will have the ability to influence and lead change in a complex, matrixed organization. The Project Manager collaborates and communicates with executive stakeholders, directors, managers, supervisors, leads, and Cone Health staff using change management techniques and iCARE Commitments to Care.

Responsibilities


Leads the review or management of specific projects identified by the Cone Health ITS PMO. Critical components include but are not limited to: overseeing the development and maintenance of detailed project plans; facilitating communication between all Cone Health departments through an effectively executed communication plan; overseeing the identification and resolution of project-related issues, and promotes appropriate escalation of problems and issues toward timely resolutions; facilitating escalation of project-related risks and decisions; ensuring that decisions are communicated throughout the operational and project teams; coordinating project activities with various departments; and reviewing the progress of all projects regularly with the leadership team. Facilitates the development of a project charter, stakeholder signoffs, comprehensive work breakdown structures, project plans, milestones, financial pro forma, detailed alternative analysis, track timeframes, project related meetings, project closure, and outcomes/efforts against budget.

Serves as a consultant to partner with operational leaders navigating their project requests. Critical components include but are not limited to: assure overall sign-off of ITS deliverables; conduct the Feasibility Analysis to include alternatives and solution outlines, and communicate status with leaders and others. Facilitate technical reviews.

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree

PREFERRED:

Masters Degree

Preferred program(s) of study: Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or Computer Science.

EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:

Direct work in a Project Management Office (PMO)

PREFERRED:

PMP or CBAP certified

Prior project management experience

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED:

Required: If not already PMP certified, incumbents will be required to successfully complete PMP certification at the first opportunity after their hire date.

*As a condition of employment, incumbents must read and sign a PMP Certification Contract attesting that they understand that Cone Health's sponsorship for PMP Certification is considered advanced wages and that these wages might need to be repaid if they leave the position prior to the repayment expiration defined in the contract.
