The Project Specialist works within the Greensboro Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Health Careers and Workforce Diversity service line to support implementation of health careers programs and activities for students. The Project Specialist will collaborate with team members to provide administrative, financial, and logistical support. This position serves as an advocate for optimal communication with partners, colleagues, and all internal and external customers to deliver exceptional customer service. In this position you will work with elementary, high school, college, graduate and professional students.

Manages all logistics prior to and after assigned events which may include, but is not limited to, speaker, audiovisual, facility, catering, program materials and resources.
Manages financial transactions for program process including payments, receipts, check requests and data entry. Assists with budget management, financial reconciliation and cost containment for all assigned events.
Provides on-site support during events which may include, but is not limited to, support for facility, AV and catering set-up, material delivery and set-up, participant check-in, AV, speaker and customer support throughout the event.
Provides accurate data entry, file maintenance and creates reports for registration and events management.
Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills both to internal and external customers, individually and as part of the Project Specialist team, by phone, electronically and in person.
Supports regional and statewide Health Career and Workforce Diversity efforts through various projects and workgroups.
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, marketing, business or applicable program.
3-5 years experience in a professional business or health care environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience in data entry, accounting or fiscal management. Experience in events planning in a health care environment.
