Overview

 
The Diversity and Inclusion Director helps create and drive the strategy that transforms the diversity and inclusion vision into actionable programs and initiatives. This role will also own monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of these programs and their ability to drive change. Ensuring integration and alignment of the D&I strategy with Cone Health's broader strategic plan. This role will require reshaping or creating D&I programs and initiatives to meet the needs of the various business units. The Director will build strategic partnerships with the leadership team, HR and all employees. Position reports to the Chief Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Officer.

 

Responsibilities

 

 
Creates the strategy that translates the D&I vision into impactful programs and initiatives; operationalizes D & I across all functions with a focus on increasing equity

Stays abreast of and responds to political, economic, socio-cultural, technological, environmental, and legal factors as they relate to D & I

Ensures that all D & I programs and services comply with relevant state and federal laws, state regulations, and organization policies

Engages and consults with key stakeholders to gain insight into specific D&I training and other needs, and builds programs to meet those needs

Partner with Service Line, Campus and System-wide leadership to develop an inclusion strategy that meets the needs of their business units?helps ensure linkages across patient experience, supplier diversity and community relations

Act as the strategic/accountability partner to existing diversity network to help maximize their contributions to executing Cone Health?s strategic plan and inclusivity

Develops and implements a sustainable process to measure, track and analyze the effectiveness of the diversity and inclusion programs created, using available data; defines ongoing needs for research and data, consistent with the diversity platform and the overall organization strategy and mission

Identify and build relationships with external partners, including thought leaders and peer organizations, that can provide support to the diversity and inclusion strategy

Act as a consultant to HR and other functions on diversity and inclusion strategies

Represent Cone Health on panels and other events related to this role

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
BA/BS degree, Required
