| Clinical support staff member promotes a safe environment for patients, family and guests of Cone Health during times of extremely high census or service line usage. This position may be held by any person holding an active nursing, medical, or others trained in the healthcare field that allows for them to safely provide support to regular clinical staff. This position serves all Cone Health campuses in need of additional clinical support. Each clinical support supplemental/temporary staff member is expected to deliver excellent customer service while being supportive of patient safety and comfort and by utilizing Relationship Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients/families and other healthcare colleagues. |
Talent Pool: Allied Health
| Assists with admission, discharges and transfers of patients. This includes obtaining admission history information, assessing patients and providing patient education regarding diagnosis and aftercare. Assists with medical procedures and monitoring of patients. Transports and monitors critically ill patients. Initiates IV insertion and removal and assists with central line audits. Performs administration of medication. Assists with daily living activities. Assists with equipment obtainment which includes set up/use and removal. Provides comfort/safety measures for patients. |
| EDUCATION: |
| Required - Completion of one of the following training programs: RN Nursing Program Doctorate, Medicine, or Osteopathic Medicine Physician's Assistant Program or Master's Level NP Degree in Nursing School of Dentistry PharmD Degree or BS in Pharmacy |
| EXPERIENCE: |
| Required One year of direct patient care experience. Preferred Two years of direct patient care experience. |
