EDUCATION:  Master’s Degree required from accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program EXPERIENCE:  REQUIRED: 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant providing care in a Primary Care Setting PREFERRED: 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant providing care in a Primary Care Setting   LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:  REQUIRED BLS (CPR) | American Heart Association or American Red Cross Current PA or NP licensure in the State of NC DEA License ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Complete documentation that meets regulatory and industry standards. No documentation should denote reasons for delayed responses as this is the patient’s medical record. Complete written communication for patients, including education on current condition and care.   Follow established policies and protocols to recommend and assist with transfer to a higher level of care if needed.
