  The intent of the Postdoctoral Fellowship is to further the research efforts of Cone Health and to develop scientists and engineers that intend to pursue medical research. The role of the Postdoctoral Fellow is to actively participate in a sponsored research project, while further developing skills acquired during a graduate education in a translational setting. The Postdoctoral Fellowship is designed to provide the following opportunities: Develop an understanding of translational research in a clinical environment Expose the fellow to standard clinical practice Teach the fellow to communicate with clinicians Develop the ability to lead a research project from initiation to completion Develop goals for personal and professional development Prepare the fellow for a career as an independent medical researcher   The project will involve development and testing of novel contour generation and evaluation techniques, with a goal of developing quantitative contour evaluation metrics. Prior experience with image processing or image segmentation is beneficial, but not a requirement. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in physics, computer science, or a closely related field. A successful candidate must computer programming skills with either C#, PHP, JavaScript, or Matlab is required.
