Role is that of clinician-teacher to residents and students, both inpatient and outpatient, in a general Internal Medicine program. Must be board certified in Internal Medicine with experience in teaching. Our program is strongly affiliated with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The Internal Medicine Program consists of 22 residents; 6 categorical residents per year and 4 additional preliminary interns. The program provides a community-based, comprehensive curriculum in Internal Medicine. The position also requires an academic skillset that includes curriculum development, evaluation, advising, and scholarly activity. Experience in outpatient medicine, including clinic administration is desirable, but not required. Leadership opportunities are available within the residency as well.
