Healthy Weight and Wellness Clinic (non-surgical) is seeking a Physician that is board certified in Obesity Medicine as well as, FM or IM, or Med/Peds, for their new outpatient clinic at Welden Village in Kernersville, NC. The Physician will provide outpatient care for patients, ages 8 years old and up with a variety of needs who struggle with obesity and the associated conditions as part of the interdisciplinary team.
Welden Village is a first-of-its-kind, 385-acre community in Kernersville with a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood. Once completed, the community will include 1,900 residences, including single family homes, townhomes, and apartments, along with a shopping village. Cone Health will offer primary care with lab services as well as healthy weight and wellness. The expansion of these services will increase access for community members throughout the Kernersville area. The anticipated opening is set for summer of 2023.
The ideal candidate has additional training, experience, and professional interest in dealing with obesity specifically, and eating disorders in general. Physician would provide judgment in diagnosis and treatment of patients, formulation of treatment plans, and direction of the interdisciplinary team in achieving the goals of the patient care plan. The bulk of the position will be working one-on-one and in groups with patients in theNON-Surgical Medical Weight Loss clinic. The obesity rate in NC is over 30% which ranks NC as having the 22nd highest obesity rate in the US according to reports. Cone Health for many years has been an advocate for health and wellness.
Our main practice in Greensboro, NC opened in December 2017 and the response has exceeded our projections.
