A close working relationship with Radiology leadership, radiologists, and the medical staff is required to maintain a cost-effective and patient-focused service. This position is responsible to provide care for patients undergoing Diagnostic Radiology procedures using the approved workflows and procedural protocols. Employees in this position are able to demonstrate full knowledge of Diagnostic Radiology equipment. Radiologic Technologists are authorized to handle and administer contrast media in accordance with radiology processes and procedures. Competencies are completed through the Radiology department. Talent Pool - Administrative & Clerical
The purpose of this position is to register all patients needing services. The role is responsible for obtaining accurate and complete demographic, financial, and medical information. The person performing this role anticipates and acts on the needs of our customers to enhance the patient experience. This is a Relief/PRN role.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engages patients throughout the registration process to create a welcoming and positive patient experience.
- Appropriate patient identification.
- Collecting accurate and thorough patient demographic data.
- Obtaining insurance information and verifying eligibility and benefits.
- Determining and collecting patient financial liability.
- Referring patients to a Patient Financial Resource Specialist as needed for assistance with financial counseling.
- Patient Registration and Financial Clearance completed at the bedside within an emergency care setting.
Responsible for handling, performing, evaluating and releasing results on laboratory specimens received for analysis. Includes performing all requirements relating to specimens and generating accurate, timely results and reporting.
