Under immediate supervision, this position assists in the design, development, and code functional programs and applications in accordance to enterprise standards and end-user requirements. Responsibilities include managing day to day team activities, translating client to application features, creating prototypes according to specifications, write high quality source code for applications within deadlines, perform unit testing, troubleshoot and debug applications, evaluate existing applications to reprogram or update and add new features, and develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code. Successful performance of this role is demonstrated by the timely completion of all assigned project goals, which contribute to the overall provision of quality, efficient and effective business application solutions to support the decision making required in delivering patient care across the continuum. In addition, this position promotes high standards in regards to effective departmental and customer service.
Provides technical application support for complex clinical or business applications in the healthcare environment. Includes gathering, analyzing and evaluating user needs, and implementing, optimizing, supporting and troubleshooting clinical or business applications. This position will provide application administrator support for various third-party applications used at Cone Health.
This role works daily with many teams to maintain Cone HealthLink, our electronic medical record system and assists with upgrade and optimization projects. This role is critical for smooth operation of Cone HealthLink.
New hire should expect to seek relevant Epic certification after hire if not already certified.
Skills - Prior experience with servers, virtualization, and troubleshooting is preferred. Understanding of cloud technologies.

Focuses on planning the network implementation, determining physical and logical layouts, installing, configuring, and maintaining data networks. Determines and diagrams the physical layout which illustrates the physical location of and the connections between devices participating on the network. Determines and diagrams the logical layout which documents the communication protocols (e.g., IP, TCP, POP3, etc.) and type of service/application (email, file transfer, web browsing, etc.) for each segment of the network. Automates routine tasks using scripting and writing basic computer programs to address more complex systems software configuration and enhancement. This Team is responsible for all End Point management via Microsoft End Point Manager (MEM), Mobile Device Management via VMWare WorkSpace One in order to create a world class end user experience. This person would require expertise in various Microsoft Technologies and Software as well as experience in overall Information Technology, upgrades/applying patches, troubleshooting, documenting best practices. In addition, this position promotes high standards in regards to effective departmental and customer service.
